Bonaire

Yes! Off to the warm waters of the Caribbean yet again. This trip took place in September of '07 and this time I joined the gang from Saguaro Diving and Sports in Mesa Az. We made our way to the small island of Bonaire in the Dutch Lesser Antilles. Part of the ABC islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, it truly lives up to the hype of a "Divers Paradise". Warm water, great visibility, plentiful sea life in any direction either by boat or shore diving and warm and friendly locals. If you love to dive, put this stop on your list of places to visit.

Our accomodations were at Buddy Dive, also highly recommended. The price included a shared condo with a full kitchen, 4 boat dives and a small truck for unlimted shore dives. Truely the bonus here. There are so many different places to just pull off the road, gear up and jump in, it's amazing!

Breakfasts were also included in our package and then we were on our own for lunch and dinner which was fine. We stocked our kitchen with the basics (PB&J and Mac & Chz of course) and ventured out to some of the local restaurants from time to time, but most of our time was spent under the waves. I personally managed to log 30 dives in the 6 diving days we had there. It was a great trip and we are already planning another visit for '08. So if you would like more details on a trip there or would like to book your own getaway, drop us line, we would be happy to help!
